Hi, I’m Megan – and I’m here to help you rejuvenate your passion to care for others.

First of all, THANK YOU!
For aaaall the things. Perhaps you’re working so hard you barely notice or maybe it’s super obvious. BURNOUT.
My mission? To help you care for yourself, so that you can continue to thrive in your calling to care for others
I was an ICU nurse. I understand working hard, meeting expectations and living my passion. BUT also feeling like I’m lacking… something. My experience has lead me to see there IS a different way. Many people know what they “should do”. The trick is doing it. I see so many who become discouraged and frustrated, feel lazy and judged. I can help! There is a way to carve out your path and achieve your health goal. Whatever it may be! There is a way to thrive in your calling.
I help you care for yourself so you can continue to live out your calling to care for others

Like practically every other woman out there I want to lose weight, but when I sat down with Megan and thought through what good health meant to me- I want to live my life and go and do all the things. Without getting winded or scared my body won’t hike up that hill or be able to get off the floor with my kid. And let’s face it, I turn 40 this year and that’s way too young to give up and accept my health being what it is. I don’t want to yo-yo up and down and want to have tools that keep me healthy and not consumed by thoughts about food, etc. I’ve been coaching with Megan for 6 months and it’s helped me SO MUCH. Y’all, this is all sounding very MLM and cheesy, but I mean it.

How This Works
What to expect at your coaching sessions
We will begin by discussing more in depth of what health coaching is, what your expectations are for coaching and logistics. Then comes the good stuff. Let’s dive into exploring where you are and where you want to be in a big picture kinda way. Then we will hone in on a focus and get real up close and personal. The takeaway will be an attainable goal linked arm in arm with action steps for this week.

Future follow up sessions
Also magical. This is where we check in to see how the Grand Plan went. The best part? No matter what happened this is a judgment free zone! Woohoo! What we get to do is see how the experiment went… celebrating successes and tweaking as needed. It really is a lovely space to enter in with kindness and curiosity. Shame and guilt are not allowed.

About Me
I am a Duke Certified Health and Well-being coach with degrees in Exercise Science, Psychology and Nursing with 10 years of hospital experience. My education works in concert with my love of encouraging and connecting with people to help them reach health goals. I am married to Josh (and creator of this website, thanks babe!) and we have 2 wonderful children, Rosie and Oliver. I am generally a very laid back person, value humor and love to be active.
I am all in to serve and care for people. I will make eye contact and listen to you in this space I am truly grateful to share with you. Time with my clients is a gift.

Fun Facts
- We are chicken parents. What an adventure that has been!
- I have lived in NC my whole life (minus 1 year)
- I am an alcohol ink artist. It’s a very freeing medium because you can’t mess up! I just love the opportunity to play with vibrant color.
- My happy place is outside among tall trees and fresh air
- Growing up, my mom “never made the same thing twice”. Inspired by this philosophy, I am also adventurous in the kitchen.
What makes my coaching different?
I have been in your shoes. I worked in med/surg and ICU. I have felt isolated among my peers because I was unable to be vulnerable and truly share the challenges I was facing. Sure I could bicker and complain, but I kept the real stuff under tight lockdown. Realizing something was not quite right, I reached out to a professional and now understand the value of have someone come alongside me.
My background in exercise science, psychology and nursing plus my unparalleled education at Duke makes me extremely well-rounded. This holistic education is the foundation from which I help my clients grow in a mind, body, spirit kind of way. Let’s cut the crap (in a gentle and non-judgy way) to find out what is truly important about your health. I am uniquely qualified to help guide you on your beautiful journey towards your optimum health. Of course, we’re all a work in progress right? But it’s always a boost to have a partner in crime rather than being caught in a perpetual riptide alone.
Here’s something that has really stuck with me:
One day I was chatting with one of the chaplains at the nurses station and told him I was thinking about maaaaybe going to therapy. He said ” You might be ok if you don’t go. But if you do go you’ll probably feel much better.” So, yes, there is an option. His insight helped me envision a different possibility. I went. And it was amazing!
